PHX Sky Train opens, will connect light rail and Sky Harbor International Airport
After a nearly a decade of planning and test runs, the long-awaited PHX Sky Train will open its doors Monday. The 1.7-mile track will transport passengers between the 44th Street and Washington Metro light rail stop, Sky Harbor International Airport Terminal 4 and the East Economy parking lot.
Sky Harbor travelers to have streamlined commute beginning 2013
Construction already underway, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is set to open its PHX Sky Train project in the spring of 2013. The project would help connect air travelers with the light rail.
