The planters lining Lower Grand Avenue following last fall's streetscape project will soon get a makeover by local artists. The Grand Avenue Members' Association is organizing community members and artists to decorate and maintain the gray planters.

Professor receives $1.25 million grant to study nutrition, physical activity in college students

Meg Bruening received federal funding from the National Institute of Health to uncover the impact of friendships and relationships on the heath of college freshmen. She hopes the study, which is set to begin next year and will last five years, will be able to predict future patterns in student body-wide health.
