Two local businesses — The Sweetness ice cream shop and the Fair Trade Cafe — have parted ways after 11 months of partnering after The Sweetness owner could not meet the financial terms of his lease.
Craig and Kris DeMarco, Lauren and Wyatt Bailey, and Tory DeMarce, who own and manage several other downtown Phoenix restaurants such as Postino and Windsor, collaborated once again to create Federal Pizza. The restaurant, located on the southwest corner of Central and Oregon avenues, will feature wood-fired pizzas and is set to open on Oct. 9.

Although most of the show was choreographed, this year’s rendition of A Vampire Tale left room for audience participation.
