Randy Christensen, a Phoenix-based doctor who has garnered national recognition for his efforts to provide health-care services to homeless and at-risk youth via bus clinic in the Valley, is speaking Thursday at the Downtown campus about his experiences and how to make a difference in one’s community.
The Downtown Programming and Activities Board transformed Civic Space Park into a winter wonderland on Nov. 19. For the event they brought in an artificial ice rink (made of a plexiglass-like substance), ice skates, a DJ and winter treats.
