The sixth annual Phoenix Sister Cities WorldFest was held at downtown's Heritage & Science Park Friday through Sunday to celebrate the different cultures, music, art and food of Phoenix's nine sister cities.
The Downtown Phoenix Mardi Gras Parade, Festival and Mardi Crawl snaked through downtown Friday night with floats, live music, fire dancers, pirates, Cajun food and craft vendors. The parade began at CityScape and followed a two-mile route around the area.
Frank Russell Chair of Journalism and Walter Cronkite School of Journalism professor Tim McGuire created “After Cronkite,” a 10-week series geared toward teaching Cronkite seniors to make themselves more valuable and realize their potential as they get out into the real world.
