Hosts Jayson Chesler and Miguel Otarola were joined by Arts and Entertainment editor Alex Scoville to discuss programs in the downtown Phoenix community that offer opportunities to learn about art and practice artistic expression. Discussion was sparked by classes starting at Revival Art Collective.

The Roosevelt Street Improvements Public Art Project will bring sustainable, solar-powered shade structures to three areas on Roosevelt Street: one on the east side of Carly’s Bistro on Second Street, one on the west side of The Nash on First Street and multiple in the right-of-way triangle between Third and Fourth streets.

A romantic, forbidden love-themed fashion show at {9} the Gallery depicted famous couples, both fictional and nonfictional. The show was developed by Ty Jones, an assistant at {9} the Gallery.

Members and leaders of the newly dubbed Roosevelt Row Artists’ District convened at The Nash on Thursday to celebrate the district's visioning project that outlined their future goals.

Discussion points included the impact of the robbery and the recovery effort. The hosts also discussed what the process proves about small businesses in the downtown arts community.

Leave the kids at home--this puppet show is adults-only. The Great Arizona Puppet Theater puts on a monthly Adult Puppet Slam to give its puppeteers a chance to show off all their skills. The theater is a member of the national Puppet Slam Network.

Following a break-in last week, the downtown Phoenix community rounded up support for Lawn Gnome Publishing by creating a cash mob on Tuesday afternoon. Participants from as close downtown Phoenix and as far as Boston, donated books and cash to help the store in its time of need.
