Survival guide: Places for food, shopping and fun while living downtown
Moving to a new place can be difficult, especially if you don't know your way around town. The Downtown Devil staff compiled a list of important places to know about while living downtown. While there are plenty of places that didn't make it onto the list, here a few places to get you started while you get used to your new home.
Downtown Dining: Melt
Melt, John Sagasta's new ice cream shop on Fifth Street, serves funky flavors like cucumber and watermelon-cilantro, but a lack of indoor seating makes both the frozen sweets and the customers live up to the shop's drippy name.
Downtown Dining: Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana
Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana is a Scottsdale-based restaurant that just opened its downtown location serving traditional Neapolitan pizzas. The pizza place replaced Sens on First Street between Fillmore and McKinley streets.

The Phoenix Public Market Cafe, which celebrated its official opening day Wednesday, is the creation of Valley chef Aaron Chamberlin and is altogether a restaurant, rotisserie, bakery, coffee shop and bar.
