Athletes celebrate Scottish Highland Games in Phoenix
Bagpipes played, kilts fluttered and men screamed at the top of their lungs at the Caledonian Society of Arizona's 47th annual Highland Games and Celtic Gathering. Competition among some of the world's best athletes in the highland games took place on Feb. 26 and 27 at Steele Indian School Park at North Central Avenue and East Indian School Road.

Downtown students ice skate at Civic Space
The Downtown Programming and Activities Board transformed Civic Space Park into a winter wonderland on Nov. 19. For the event they brought in an artificial ice rink (made of a plexiglass-like substance), ice skates, a DJ and winter treats.
