After adopting an open data policy last July, the city of Phoenix has released real-time tracking data for city buses and Light Rail trains for independent tech developers to use to create new apps.

Thanks to America’s obsession with the sport (and business) of football, we were able to see downtown Phoenix in a new light. For a few days, downtown felt dense and vibrant, and the crowds made it seem like the night would never end.

Puppies up for adoption at the Arizona Human Society provided entertainment for the many that visited CityScape's "Puppy Bowl Cafe" over the weekend. The dogs took gave it their all before a prerecorded Puppy Bowl aired on the Animal Planet channel Sunday.

The attractions opened Wednesday and were in full swing by Thursday afternoon. The sky presented an overcast hue to fans looking for the Arizona sunshine, and rain eventually dampened some of the atmosphere.

Super Bowl XLIX is expected to bring in 1 million attendees, and many of them are flooding downtown Phoenix. With the vast majority of them coming from in-state, the hope is that after experiencing the city, they'll visit again.

The latest addition to the downtown doughnut scene is Fractured Prune, an East Coast-based franchise setting up shop in CityScape. The confectionary offers doughnuts made to order.

Community members are attempting to save the murals housed in GreenHAUS, as the building faces demolition for an apartment complex to be built.

The Sheraton Hotel Phoenix unveiled the Valley Overlook, it's new 6,400 square foot outdoor venue constructed for the Super Bowl, on Tuesday night. Mayor Greg Stanton and Phoenix community members gathered at the new spot to connect and celebrate.
