Bioscience High School dedicates Dia de los Muertos festival to Yarnell Hill Hotshots
The Spanish National Honor Society at Bioscience High School hosted a Día De Los Muertos festival in honor of the firemen who lost their lives in the Yarnell Fire earlier this year. Proceeds from the event went to the families of the firemen.

Art exhibit in UCENT features unique maps created by students, faculty, local artists
The walls of the University Center at Arizona State University came alive recently with vibrant colors spread across paintings, drawings and mixed-media conceptions as part of an exhibit from the College of Public Programs. The exhibit, "Mapping: Movement and Memory" contained little of what could be used as an actual map to find a location; instead the exhibit featured modern interpretations of what a map means or does.

Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton unveiled the name of the new Phoenix Metro bike share system Monday at the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) conference. "GR:D" (pronounced grid) will begin before the end of the year and pledges to have 500 bikes in service in Phoenix by February 2014.
