Residents can look forward to upcoming virtual holiday activities at Cityscape Phoenix as fall activities come to a close.
Cityscape Phoenix is located in the heart of downtown Phoenix and offers various retail locations for residents in addition to an assortment of delicious restaurants in its open plaza.
This year, it will be decorating for the holidays with a Christmas tree and lights around the property, creating an ambient atmosphere for guests while they enjoy the visit to the plaza.
During this time of year, it brings in the holiday cheer with festivities for the community, however, new changes are being implemented to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
These changes include new festivities, such as a Holiday Digital Scavenger Hunt from Dec. 4 to Dec. 31 that will promote social distancing as participants adventure around the property to find special QR codes containing offers from restaurants and businesses hidden in holiday-themed graphics.
Once participants have completed the scavenger hunt, they will gain access to a link that connects offers additional offers from local businesses.
Another festivity many residents and ASU students always look forward to is the the CitySkate ice skating rink. However, this highly anticipated activity has been postponed until further notice due to light rail construction on Central Ave.
“Things have changed so much since the pandemic started, the ice skating rink is a tradition for our ASU Lead mentees to enjoy,” said Jordan Moffat, a former ASU Lead Mentor.
Many locals are hopeful that the rink will be available in 2021.
As the holidays quickly approach, guests preparing to visit Cityscape are encouraged to socially distance as changes to social interactions and activities have changed.
Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the property along with signs and digital messages that ask all visitors to “Stay safe. Shop smart.” Guests are also encouraged to socially distance at a minimum of six feet to protect guests from the spread of COVID-19.
