Hosts Jayson Chesler and Miguel Otarola discussed the place of holiday-themed events in downtown Phoenix’s arts and entertainment community. The saturation of these events and what the hosts feel the events need to do to be successful was discussed through the lens of Valentine’s Day events.

The sold-out event “Envisioning Phoenix: An Urban Film Series” was discussed. It was held at FilmBar on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Most of the events that were previewed were largely Valentine’s Day themed, including several exhibits on Valentine’s Day itself. Multiple Valentine’s Day concerts — such as the Trunk Space’s “oh my god, my body, my ears” 10-hour concert — were also previewed.

For event, theater and concert previews along with in-depth discussion tune in to the live show every Thursday at 4:30 p.m. on the Blaze 1330 AM.
