Dia de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a traditional Mexican holiday that commemorates the lives of loved ones who passed away. The celebration and festivities usually take place Oct. 31 through Nov. 2.
This event was presented by Cultural Coalition Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group that works to provide culture enrichment and activity programs throughout Arizona communities. Admission was free and the day concluded with a traditional candlelight procession at 5:30 p.m.
