The 2010 Devilish Homecoming week at ASU has arrived, and students don’t have to be on the Tempe campus to bleed maroon and gold. The Downtown campus will be celebrating homecoming with events throughout the week.

The Programming and Activities Board Downtown will put activities along Taylor Mall that will include music, food, drinks, games, prizes and more.

“I’m glad DPC is putting on events down here for homecoming,” said Leighton Eusebio, a public relations senior. “I’m always downtown for classes so I’m happy I can still enjoy the activities and get in the homecoming spirit!”

The FestDevil Block Party on Friday will include live music and entertainment.

“The FestDevil is a great way to invite the community to celebrate the spirit of homecoming,” said Steven Harper, director of strategic marketing and communications. “It also gives the ASU community a chance to experience what is in their neighborhood.”

The events throughout the week are intended to keep ASU morale going strong for the Saturday football game between the Sun Devils and the Washington State Cougars.

Events scheduled to take place at the Downtown campus are:

Oct. 27: Devil City 7 p.m.
With their Sun Card, students can explore the Arizona Science Center, located at 600 East Washington Street, at night.

Oct. 28: Root Beer Floats 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
PAB will be outside on Taylor Mall helping students build their own root beer floats.

Oct. 29: FestDevil Block Party
Along with Sparky a live DJ, free food, pumpkin painting and other arts and crafts, the block party will feature student organizations and programming from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students can also help those in need by participating in a blood drive that will be set up. Float building will take place on Taylor Mall and floats will be unveiled at 9 p.m.

Oct. 30: Game Day vs. Washington State and Devils After Dark
Downtown Phoenix campus will have a tent on location in Tempe during the homecoming events with drinks, prizes and activities. The game starts at 4 p.m.

At 8:30 p.m. there will be food and drinks for students to go along with a screening of “The Last Exorcism” in the Devil’s Den at Taylor Place.
