
Good morning, downtown Phoenix! How was your Valentine’s Day? For me, I stayed home and went to a Downtown Devil meeting – which is actually one of the highlights of my week. We listened to the songs “Drivers License,” “Love Story,” and “Electric Heart,” to name a few. So I hope you all did at least something to spend the day!
Anyways, here are the events for this week.
Blood Drive

Did you know that Arizona patients require more blood transfusions in the winter than at any other time in the year? Testing has extended through the end of the month so click on the link above to make an appointment online to help those in need! It will take place at the Phoenix Suns Arena lobby with free parking available.

Murder for Two

The Phoenix Theatre Company will be performing at an outdoor venue this Wednesday at 7 p.m. This play will be on the detective’s intentions towards the killer mixed up with suspense and witty characters. Masks are required!
MLK/FBI Documentary
Feb. 17, Feb. 18, Feb. 20

In this documentary, award-winning director Sam Pollard displays out a detailed account of what happened in the 1950s and 1960s during Martin Luther King’s life under FBI surveillance. Pollard’s message throughout the film is for the audience to remember that true American progress is always hard-won.
21st Juried Exhibition

Out of the 725 artworks that were submitted for the competition, a panel of prestigious jurors from the Arizona arts community have picked 85 to showcase in the 21st annual Artlink Exhibition. This site will be open to the public this Saturday and is expected to run through the end of June.
