
Hello downtown Phoenix! This is Yoori back with your downtown events this week and I hope you all had a great weekend. If you’re a student, you’re probably swamped with assignments but push through! We’re almost done. Here are the events for this week:
Mayor State of the City Address

It’s been a chaotic year for all of us; and everyone is trying to adapt to this new normal that’s quite difficult to assimilate to. Where do we go from here? What will the new year of 2021 bring us and more importantly, what will downtown Phoenix look like? These are just a fraction of some questions you may be wondering. For an hour on Tuesday morning, Mayor Kate Gallego will be sharing her thoughts, visions, and plans for 2021.
Suns Pre-Draft Show
Wednesday, Nov. 18

Basketball fans! Join the Phoenix Suns free virtual, interactive draft pre-show for 30 minutes to discuss the 2020 draft!
Heard Museum Yoga
Saturday, Nov. 21
9:30 a.m.
2301 N Central Ave
Join Rooted Community Yoga Project for a session of yoga in new locations around the Heard Museum. Space is limited to 15 participants, masks are required, and only a select few mats will be available – so bring your own mats if you can and register fast! Museum admission is included with ticket purchase to explore the museum afterword.
Yoga in the Courtyard
Saturday, Nov. 21

The Churchill is hosting weekly yoga sessions every Saturday in the courtyard with a different instructor each session. This donation-based yoga session is for all levels with an artisan market to follow. Masks are required and space is limited.
Holiday Market on Grand Avenue

10 a.m.
This free, socially-distant event is ringing in the holidays a early this year in front of Bigg’s Pie Factory lot on Grand Avenue. Vendors will change each week to bring new gifts and crafts and masks are required.
Downtown Pedal Around to The Wayward on Grand Ave
Sunday, Nov. 22
3:30 p.m.
Take a community bike ride from downtown Phoenix’s Civic Space Park through the city to new craft beer and wine bar The Wayward. This hour ride will take you through downtown Phoenix and down Grande Avenue to the former Third Space cafe to enjoy a new local business and a relaxing night out.
