The first annual Phoenix Food Truck Festival, a collaborative effort between the Phoenix Street Food Coalition and the Roosevelt Row Community Development Corporation, took place in downtown Phoenix’s Roosevelt Row on Saturday with about 30 food trucks participating.

The event sold out, with 3,100 people attending, and ran from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. The festival is part of Roosevelt Row’s Adaptive Reuse of Temporary Space program, which utilizes Phoenix’s vacant lots through community-based initiatives.

Guests paid $30 for entry tickets or $35 at the door, and got free food after entering. The trucks were required to use locally sourced or Arizona-grown ingredients in at least 30 percent of their menu.
