Halloween events getting spooky tomorrow

(Summer Sorg/DD)

With the Halloween season in full swing, there is an abundance of activities for families and young adults to participate in. If you want to get into the Halloween spirit in downtown Phoenix, here are some events you can partake in tomorrow.

Trick-or-Treat at the Museum

The Children’s Museum of Phoenix, at 215 N. Seventh St., is throwing a day of trick-or-treating throughout different exhibits on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Kids are invited to “monster mash” on the dance floor and explore three of the museum floors for Halloween-themed activities.

This event is free with museum admission with some activities requiring an additional purchase. Costumes aren’t mandatory but strongly encouraged.

Halloween in Fair Verona: Romeo & Juliet Masquerade Ball

For adults who want to take a trip back to the Renaissance era, the ninth annual Halloween in Fair Verona: Romeo & Juliet Masquerade Ball is made for the Renaissance lover in you.

This Romeo & Juliet-themed Masquerade Ball is one of the hottest dance parties in Phoenix. DJs will be performing on two different stages to represent the two dueling families in the Shakespearean play.

The featured DJs are Sean Watson, Gerry Gonza, Curtis Can’t See and others.

Costumes are required for entry with no exceptions—the costume contest is one of the main events of the night.

The event starts at 8 p.m. at the Crescent Ballroom, 308 N. Second Ave. The early bird tickets are $15, advance sale tickets are $20, and tickets at the door are $25.

DVINA Halloween Party

Thursday night’s DVINA Halloween Party at Monarch Theatre, 122 E. Washington St., starts at 9 p.m. and lasts until the early hours of November, transforming the Monarch’s Scarlet lounge into a spooky techno haunted house.

This will be the theater’s biggest Halloween Party yet, according to its website, and will feature DJs PleasureKraft, Gaiser and Marco Bailey.

DVINA is a local organization that puts on shows that feature underground house and techno artists for the Phoenix EDM community.

Tickets are available online for $30.

Downtown Devil wishes everyone a happy and safe Halloween.
