Performers, vendors, and members of the community gathered Saturday around Herberger Theater for the Festival of the Arts. Four different stages were constantly occupied by performers ranging from Hawaiian dancers to a man juggling swords over a frightened volunteer from the audience.
There were attendees present from all walks of life, including several on four legs. Nine pet adoption organizations gave festival attendees the opportunity to add a new member to their families.
This annual event welcomed a couple thousand locals. Event volunteer Dorothy Legg said the festivities were meant to introduce people in the Valley to the theater.
“It’s amazing how many people live in this town and have no idea that there are three theaters,” Legg said.
