Sarah Hurwitz’s large-scale painting and installations feature mediums including oil and spray paint on a 6-foot-tall canvas. Hurwitz plays off of familiar familial subjects placed in fanciful locations. Positioned in unnatural and almost unbecoming positions, they represent her struggles and loss of direction in life.
