Hidden Track Bottle Shop, coming soon to downtown Phoenix, will be the only wine shop downtown that will offer a unique array of wines from all over the globe.

The shop is one of four new businesses that will open in the 111 W. Monroe Building this year. Hidden Track will be open within the next two months, the owners said.

“We want to bring the quality to the community,” Co-owner Craig Dziadowicz said. “There is a want for it downtown.”

The wine shop was inspired by friends and strangers wondering where all their wine was from and where they could get it, according to Hidden Track’s website.

Dziadowicz and Co-owner Danielle Middlebrook have a combined 20 years of wine industry experience, which they say allowed them to start their own wine business.

“It’s a gap we saw in downtown,” Middlebrook said.

They said they expect to have different blends of wines and new, interesting wines that will bring their customers back, wanting more.

The theme of the shop will be retro and vintage with a touch of musical essence, Middlebrook said.

The West Monroe building was built in the 60s, the same time The Beatles introduced their first hidden track, so the owners decided to connect the two and call their wine shop, Hidden Track Bottle Shop.

The owners want to incorporate local musicians and artists into the theme of their shop, along with a blend of mid-century Phoenix design.

Middlebrook said it will be a fun and relaxing place to lounge around. Dziadowicz said he is a wine broker and has a lot of connections in the wine industry, as well as a background with wine bars that will help their business thrive.

“This will be the only wine shop downtown has seen,” Dziadowicz said.

The owners hope to start off by selling retail, with options to purchase wines in the shop, options for in-state delivery, as well as wine tastings. They said they hope to expand their business in the future.

“I’m excited to see what they are going offer for the downtown area,” Bethany Sheldon, an employee at neighboring business Mornin’ Moonshine said.

Sheldon said she knows people in the surrounding buildings will like having a wine shop so close, and she is excited to see what it will bring to downtown.

“There is nothing in downtown like it yet,” Sheldon said. “I think it will do well.”

The owners of Hidden Track Bottle Shop had been looking for the perfect venue for about a year, and when they finally found it on West Monroe Street, they were pleased.

Middlebrook said she thinks the wine shop will capture the spirit of downtown Phoenix and fit right in.

“It will be an interesting connect with wine and downtown Phoenix,” Middlebrook said.
