With “Due Date,” the new film from Todd Phillips of last year’s “The Hangover,” your enjoyment of the film is going to hinge on whether or not you buy it as nothing more than “The Hangover 1.5” or a full-blown revamp of what comedy can be.

A motion to approve the construction of a parking lot on the site of the old Ramada Inn passed with a 3-1 vote by the Phoenix Board of Adjustment Thursday afternoon despite pleas from area residents to instead convert the property into a pedestrian-friendly dog park.

Every week on Fridays from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., trucks will line the Phoenix Public Market parking lot and bring different foods and dining experiences to downtown Phoenix.
