I am always thrilled to hear about a new restaurant opening up near the Downtown campus, and with the promise of authentic Mexican cuisine, I knew it wouldn’t be long before I gave Verde a try.

The Arab American Festival brought international food, a hookah lounge, rides and a variety of multicultural singers, dancers and musicians to Phoenix on Oct. 23 and Oct. 24 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on both days.

Phoenix is off to a faster start than other cities in quickly utilizing stimulus money for sustainability, city officials said in a press conference Tuesday.

The Downtown campus will be celebrating homecoming with events throughout the week.
