Best of: Halloween in Phoenix
With hectic schedules and Halloween less than a week away, Phoenicians have a lot of events to cover in a very limited amount of time. Just around the Valley, there are over 20 haunted houses, about nine pumpkin patches and countless Halloween Eve celebrations, all claiming to be the best in Arizona.

To kick off Homecoming week students on ASU's Downtown campus had the opportunity to give up their hair for the "Locks of Love and Goin’ Bald for Bucks" fundraiser on Monday. The fundraiser was held to raise awareness and raise money for cancer patients who have lost their hair and are in need of wigs.
ASASUD approves $46,000 for campus recreation
After heavy debate and discussion, the ASASUD Senate voted to approve a funding request of $45,938.10 by Downtown student recreation.
Nursing School promotes health with new initiative
The ASU College of Nursing and Health Innovation is taking steps toward a healthier Arizona with its participation in this year’s homecoming parade with the Make Just 1 Healthy Lifestyle Change initiative and its involvement in Healthy Arizona Now.

Approximately 120 people attended the Startup Weekend Phoenix event that ran from Friday Oct. 22 through Sunday Oct. 24. Participants got together with local developers, marketers, designers, enthusiasts and onlookers to start companies in just 54 hours.
