The IN FLUX temporary art initiative will be bringing its annual multi-city tour to downtown on May 3. Eric Boos' "The Re-birth of Venus," currently on display at the Phoenix Convention Center, highlights the downtown portion of the tour.

High school and college jazz bands will get the opportunity to perform at The Nash throughout April as part of an effort to reach younger audiences and celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month. Musicians both old and young talk about what it is like to have a jazz venue in downtown Phoenix where they can play alongside renowned artists.

Local startup incubator held an open house Thursday night for high school administrators, teachers and students to promote its high school curriculum. A Seed Spot executive, student and teacher spoke about how the program has been implemented in the Tesseract School and the benefits of exposing young students to entrepreneurship.

A mix of music, comedy and sketch that explores how difficult it can be to live in the present without thinking about the past or anticipating the future, “Where is Now?” will be playing Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. at Space 55 on Pierce and Seventh streets.
