Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton praised Phoenix's progress in his State of the City address Wednesday, including the city's "buy local" policy and its increase in presence of adaptive reuse projects, among others.

Alexis Kramer's goals include improving the OrgSync system, getting students involved in the Super Bowl and adding charging stations on campus. Frank Smith III's goals include creating a USG scholarship, further addressing the textbook pledge and adding a parking lot shuttle and traffic regulator to improve safety.

Employees from the businesses and the courts nearby huddled around the crime scene. Others murmured that they weren't able to get to their vehicles or had to take long detours because of the closed streets. The road closures and rail shuttle stayed in place through the evening rush hour.

The Local, a new contemporary American restaurant with a global edge, is set to expand the palates of Phoenix’s growing arts district along Roosevelt Row. The restaurant will be located near Third and Roosevelt streets next to Pallets Food & Bar and will pay tribute to its name by incorporating food and decor from local vendors.
