Torres Marquez Communications was named one of the top 500 Hispanic businesses in the nation in Hispanic Business Magazine. The public relations agency reportedly made a revenue of $1 million last year.

Shoppers gathered for the first Phoenix Flea at Heritage Square Park on Friday and Small Business Saturday to support local vendors and the 100 Club of Arizona.

Shoppers were able to buy locally on Black Friday at CityScape's Alternative Black Friday Vintage Market, but some businesses elected to skip Friday for Small Business Saturday.

CityScape was bustling Saturday in celebration of the ice rink opening and Christmas tree lighting. Both Santa and Mayor Greg Stanton showed up to the event.

After serving for nearly a decade on the Cronkite Endowment Board of Trustees, a group that represents and advises the Cronkite School, local lawyer and media law specialist David J. Bodney was named the board's president.
