The city of Phoenix is moving forward with a study that would determine the effectiveness of a pedestrian mall on Adams Street between Second Street and Central Avenue. The city council has allocated $73,060 for one year of consulting with the architectural firm Gensler for the Adams Street Activation Study.

ASU alumni and Peritoneum designers Kyle Fiano and Courtney Larsen will spend a month in eastern Europe this summer to study Spomeniks, a form of public art designed to commemorate historic events.

Urban Choices hosted conversations with City Council candidates from Districts 4 and 8 in on Wednesday and Thursday. The candidates discussed a variety of issues, proposed to the candidates by members of the community and Urban Choices.

After spending six years in Africa, Glenn Simmons was inspired to create Invictus Nourishment, a therapeutic snack, to help children who suffer from malnourishment. Simmons said about 1,100 pounds of the cookies are made and donated to different churches and organizations to distribute.
