Brush Party, located on 718 Fourth Street in downtown Phoenix, provides beginning painters an opportunity to search for the creativity they never knew they possessed.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at ASU offers a variety of classes and lectures to adults ages 50 and over. To register for classes, members pay a $15 fee per semester plus an additional $35 per four-session class or $10 per one-time lecture they wish to take.

The first Phoenix Festival of the Arts, which took place this past weekend at Margaret T. Hance Park, was vibrant with local art vendors, live music and Mayor Greg Stanton presenting awards to local artists, but the winding figure of plywood boards snaking around the fenced-in festival stole the show.

The third annual Phoestivus open-air market will return to the Phoenix Public Market lot tonight after its first event drew hundreds last Wednesday. Visitors can expect holiday goods, food trucks, a beer garden and much more.
