Construction begins on bike boulevard connecting Phoenix to Tempe

Construction has begun on a 4.6 mile bike boulevard to connect downtown Phoenix to Tempe, which is planned to pass within several blocks of the Downtown campus when completed this summer, officials said. The new boulevard will begin at Fifth Avenue and Fillmore Street and primarily stay on Fillmore and Roosevelt streets to the existing Grand Canal Trail at 33rd Street, which will lead riders into Tempe.

Taylor Place offers free summer housing to students who renew for next school year

Current Taylor Place residents have the opportunity to live in the dorms for free over the summer. Students who have renewed their living with Taylor Place for the 2012-2013 school year can apply for a free room over the summer, with verification that they will either be working or taking ASU classes during that time.
