Phoenix ceremoniously passes ball to San Antonio for 2025 Men’s Final Four

Phoenix Local Organizing Committee CEO Jay Parry ceremoniously passed the basketball and keys to the Fan Jam Truck on Tuesday morning to Manny Sanchez, a representative from San Antonio, Texas, where the 2025 Men’s Final Four will be hosted.

Jay Parry thanked NCAA colleagues, Arizona stakeholders, and the hosting committee for “making this a perfect week and a perfect finish for March Madness.”

“We worked as one team, with one goal, which was capped off by one shining moment,” Parry said, congratulating the University of Connecticut Huskies for their championship win on Monday night.

Parry reported that this year’s Final Four brought in 149,143 attendees across all three games — the fifth highest in Final Four history, with the championship attendance of 74,423 becoming the third highest record, and was broadcast worldwide according to Parry.

“Once again, we’ve shown that when it comes to major events, no one does it like Arizona,” Parry said.

NCAA Vice President of Men’s Basketball JoAn Scott spoke on how excited she is for the 2025 Men’s Final Four in San Antonio.

“Hard to believe we need to shift our attention to San Antonio for 2025,” Scott said. “We have 361 days until we tip off… I know they are just as excited to have it back this time as in 2018.”

In an interview that morning with ABC15, Sanchez explained how the artwork for the Phoenix Final Four has given him inspiration for the artwork that will be in San Antonio.

“They really highlighted the city and the state, and we’re going to try and do that in San Antonio… engaging with our heritage and our culture and making sure we give the student-athletes a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said Sanchez.

The NCAA will hold the 2025 Men’s Final Four at the Alamodome, a stadium with over 63,000 seats.

“Our local organizing committee is ready to start working hard and hit the ground running to make sure that we provide all the visitors and our local community an amazing experience,” said Sanchez. “We’ll be ready.”
