Downtown Phoenix was bursting with activity on Friday and Saturday during TrueDTPHX, an assortment of free events showcasing the area’s best in food, music, shopping and art.

Local vendors set up shop along Roosevelt Row to sell their merchandise. The items included vintage clothing, handmade pieces and more. Galleries, shops and studios opened their doors to visitors in an effort to exhibit downtown’s art culture.

Restaurants, including Phoenix Public Market Cafe on First and Pierce streets and Welcome Diner on Tenth and Roosevelt streets, participated in a sampler series where patrons could pay just $5 to try a selection of food and drink. The Public Market also sponsored an all-day market Saturday for local vendors to sell products.

The two-day music festival featured some of the Valley’s most-prominent acts. In Civic Space Park, audiences gathered on the grass to watch performances by multiple groups, including Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra and Jared & The Mill.
