Slide show: Circus amazes downtown

A parade of elephants, a team of horses and a hoard of kids all collided in the US Airways Center last week to see “the Greatest Show on Earth.”

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presented “Built To Amaze!” from June 26 – July 1. An hour before each show, ticket holders were able to storm the floor to meet clowns, walk on tightropes, watch an elephant do incredible feats and more.

Afterward, families retreated to their seats to watch the main event, which featured a troupe of Ukrainian aerial athletes, a team of unicyclists playing basketball, and animals including Bengal tigers and Asian elephants.
