A guide to your Urban Ale Trail journey

(TJ Triolo/DD)

This coming Saturday marks the sixth annual Urban Ale Trail in downtown Phoenix. This popular urban “beer hike” connects some of Phoenix’s most notable restaurants and bars for tastings from 1 to 5 p.m. and requires no registration.

Each of the 29 locations will offer three different beer samples and a snack for $2 per four-ounce sample.

Many local establishments like the Phoenix Ale Brewery and Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co. will be included in the event. Several of the venues will also offer live music.

Hikers can start at any place at any time, but keep in mind that Patriots Park at CityScape will give a commemorative beer koozie and bottle opener to the first 300 hikers.
