Balsz School District students and their families will receive free admission to educational and cultural attractions due to Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton's Great Start Program. Among the attractions included are the Arizona Science Center, Phoenix Art Museum and Heard Museum.
A PlanPHX ASU Forum was held Wednesday at the A.E. England Building to discuss the future of Phoenix. Approximately 20 people attended, many of whom were city of Phoenix employees.
Arizona State University’s Global Institute of Sustainability partnered with the Arizona Science Center Thursday to host a discussion about the future of energy. The panelists included former Shell Oil Company President John Hofmeister; Peter Byck, director of the documentary “Carbon Nation;” and Mark Jacobson, director of the atmosphere/energy program at Stanford University.
