The Phoenix Hostel and Cultural Center held their multi-performance event “Dos Verdades” (“Two Truths”) on Thursday for the second night in a row.

For two seasons the variety show PEP Rally has brought together disparate artists each week. Now, the two hosts are bringing back their favorite acts.

While his solo MonOrchid show celebrates Chris Maker as an artist, the art itself largely reflects on his time in urban planning and architecture.

Three years ago, it was a rarity to see vegan or vegetarian restaurants in Phoenix. But recent additions, such as Bragg's Factory Diner and Vegan House, have made the downtown dining scene more accessible to vegans and vegetarians.

Bruce Cormier followed a winding path to making a living through art, but today, he feels he would never do anything else. Cormier can be found live-painting at First Fridays every month.

The Arizona Latino Arts and Cultural Center is currently hosting the Smithsonian Institution’s exhibit, “American Sabor: Latinos in U.S. Popular Music.”
