Robert Thornton starts a new campaign every two weeks with his business Paper Clouds Apparel, a company that raises funding for special needs schools and organizations while showcasing their artistic talents. Paper Clouds Apparel’s current campaign is with Sounds of Autism, an organization aimed at integrating children with autism and their families back into the community.
Local comedian Amy Donohue is embarking on a cross country documentary production on organ donors and those in need of organs after donating her own kidney to a person in need.
Founder and President Jon Irons of Sitgreen, a start-up company that makes sustainable furniture from cardboard, launched an online Kickstarter campaign last month to help fund a new line of manufactured furniture that can be offered at lower prices. Irons said he’s more than halfway to his goal of $12,000.
