Since the Arizona Curriculum Theater's founding in 2009, the non-profit organization has made it their mission to “use the power of the arts to promote literacy, engage students, and make education more fun and accessible." The organization’s signature fundraising event since its conception has been PoeFest, a month long celebration of Edgar Allan Poe and his work.

The Walter Cronkite School will expand its hours this year, staying open 20 hours per week longer than past years.
