Phoenician Vincenz Saccento, designer of the V100 Modbox, has built three of the modules downtown and is finding other uses for it, including pop-up malls and hotels. The Modboxes can be used as both businesses and residences.
The city of Phoenix Streets Transportation Department and Ritoch-Powell & Associates held a public meeting Thursday to hear community input on phase two of the Roosevelt Row Pedestrian Project. Community members suggested various improvements, including protected bike lanes and angled parking.
