Hello downtown Phoenix people, and welcome to 2019! I’ve advanced time one year forward; I actually control it. At least, I wish I did. Oh well, if I can’t control time, I can at least offer to help you pass it with some fun events!
Downtown Arena Business Forum

The Grand Canyon is one of the seven natural wonders of the world; it deserves more music about it! The Spot Downtown
Saturday Jan. 12

It is a new year, and this means more clichés about dieting and exercise. If you actually made those resolutions and intend on following through with them, here’s the perfect opportunity. This event involves fitness classes and meal prep demonstrations. Come to think of it, I actually made no resolutions. If you can’t make it this week, the event will be every second Saturday. This event is free and open to the public.
Building Disneyland and Working with Walt Disney
Saturday Jan. 12
7 p.m.–8:30 p.m.
Porter Barn Wood
901 S. Seventh St.
Ah, Disneyland. If it weren’t so expensive, I wouldn’t only go when my parents are paying! This event brings a little bit of Disneyland to Phoenix. Imagineer Bob Gurr, who designed many of the ride vehicle designs, will be discussing his experience working at Disney. Tickets cost $75–$200.
No Pants Light Rail Ride 2019
Sunday Jan. 13
1 p.m–4 p.m.
Valley Metro Light Rail
A group called Improv Everywhere, which pulls pranks and crazy skits in public to entertain people. does an annual event in which they ride public transportation in just their underwear, which started in New York City, and pretends they forgot to put on pants that day. It’s been going on in Phoenix for years now, and now is your chance to join. To participate, just go to a light rail station without pants on, pay for your ticket and get on the train. https://www.facebook.com/events/1519050524845088/”>Join in the pantsless craziness!
