Love is in the air because Valentine’s Day is coming up! It’s T.J. Triolo, your downtown Phoenix guide, back with more stuff for you to do. And since it’s Valentine’s Day week, you can take your significant other too, or friends if you’re single and spread the love!
Digital Summit Phoenix
Monday Feb. 11 and Tuesday Feb. 12
8:30 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Tuesday
Phoenix Convention Center
100 N. Third St.
This summit is for “the movers and shakers” focused on digital marketing for their companies. It will include workshops and speakers focused around a variety of aspects of digital marketing. This looks pretty interesting to me, complete with a panel titled “The Most Powerful Email Data Lessons Can be Found in the Movie Groundhog Day.” It brings back memories for me of watching “Groundhog Day” when I was younger; it’s actually a family tradition to watch it every February on Groundhog Day. This event costs $355–$995.
Becoming: An Intimate Conversation with Michelle Obama
Tuesday Feb. 12
Starts at 8 p.m.
Comerica Theatre
400 W. Washington St.
The First Lady does not have an easy job. Every bond you break, every step you take, the public will be watching you. Former First Lady Michelle Obama is giving a national speaking tour that’s stopping in Phoenix, during which she will discuss all sorts of topics about her life. Be warned, tickets are expensive at $953.50 per person for the remaining tickets.
Sweetheart Lunch in the Park
Wednesday Feb. 13
11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Civic Space Park
424 N. Central Ave.
No, not all of the events on the list this week are for rich people or people who somehow have a lot of extra money lying around. This one is a Sweetheart Lunch, which you can share with your significant other, friends, family, your dog or what/whoever you want to bring. Buy a handmade bowl for a $12 donation to fight hunger, and then get lunch from a local restaurant included in the price.

Arizona PBS KIDS Day
Saturday Feb. 16
Starts at 11 a.m.
Civic Space Park
424 N. Central Ave.
I, like many of you, grew up watching a lot of PBS shows, and this is an opportunity for kids to meet their favorite PBS KIDS characters and do fun activities. I saw Clifford the Big Red Dog in some of the pictures, which is awesome because I used to love Clifford. There’s just something lovable about ridiculous kids’ show characters like a giant red dog. This event is free with registration.
