Nine years in, the Trunk Space remains a beacon of hope for the southwestern do-it-yourself arts community. As part of their birthday celebration, this year the space invited nine of its favorite writers and artists to create pieces to reflect their view of the good life. Among those showcasing are poet Aaron Johnson, “hipstorian” Marshall Shore, self-proclaimed “new surrealist” Christian Filardo and mixed-media sculptor Hank Fries.
