The Artcade Show

Recommended if you like: retro gaming, The King of Kong, vintage restoration

The Artcade will feature 30 restored arcade games, housing everything from classics like “Galaga” and “Pac-Man” to more obscure selections like “Shadow Dancer.” The arcade cabinets have been renovated by local and nationally known artists, bringing together a mixed bag of talents and techniques. This event will also showcase a “Street Fighter II” competition for the first 20 players who register. Event coordinator Nico Paredes hopes to later open a permanent barcade location. The barcade will charge 25 cents per play -- at this show, you’ll play for free.
