Fifth annual Phoenix PARK(ing) Day celebrates people, community involvement
Friday marks the fifth annual Phoenix PARK(ing) Day. Downtown residents and organizations will occupy parking meters and set up activities or informational PARKS. PARK(ing) Day promotes both the downtown Phoenix community and environmental concerns with car use. The event is worldwide, spanning six continents.
Phoenix looks to partner with ASU program to turn library into entrepreneurial space
Phoenix is trying to partner with ASU and the Alexandria Network to further promote the city's burgeoning start-up culture. Burton Barr Central Library would provide the spot for the Network's signature EUREKA spaces, co-working spaces that combine resources from the libraries, ASU and Phoenix. The Alexandria Network is already located in Scottsdale and plans to expand to seven other states, Canada and Amsterdam.
