Arizona Storytellers Project's most recent event focused on the theme "Big Ideas, Big Lessons.” Individuals told stories about overcoming obstacles in the workplace such as the economy and company divorces.

Phoenix based open mic organization, HomeBase Poetry, will hold its monthly show Saturday. The event will showcase Choklate, a soul and R&B recording artist, and Darnella Ford, author of five best-selling novels.
