Nonprofits Slow Food Phoenix, Blue Watermelon Project and Pinnacle Prevention came together to host a Day at the Capitol for a Healthy Arizona. The organizations served lunch outside the Arizona State Capitol to promote Senate Bill 1206, Beginning Farmers Apprenticeship Program, and Senate Bill 1221, Double Up Food Bucks for SNAP. Sara Aly El Sayed of Slow Food Phoenix talked to Downtown Devil about the event and what the bills would mean for Arizona.
