With the arrival of Art Detour’s 25th year, Wayne Rainey, Justin Germain and monOrchid pay tribute to the history of art in downtown. Featuring over 50 artists, including such luminaries as F.X. Tobin, Richard and Michelle Bledsoe, Larry Willis, El Moises, Pete Petrisko and Steven Yazzie, the exhibit aims to showcase the myriad of talent the downtown scene has offered over its history. The show culminates Saturday night with the monOrchid Arts’ Ball, a free formal event featuring an auction of the majority of the art pieces on display, with a portion of the proceeds going to the relaunch of the illustrious Shade Projects.
